A few of the local kids posing for a picture after helping us through a riverbed

We came across this donkey cart which had overturned with a load of firewood. With the help of Drix, a fellow rider, we helped the mother and son to right the cart and calm the traumatised donkeys.

A break for cold drink and ice-cream at a shop in Duiwels-kloof

2008 GS Challenge - The road there

Small game on the riverbank

A seemingly peaceful scene - a crocodile had disappeared into these waters just minutes before this picture was taken

Our trusty steed

Yet another relatively small Baobab along the way

The bar area - a real oasis

...and so is the pool

Botswana - Molema & Tuli

The dry Limpopo river

Isaac, the camp guard at Molema is a very friendly guy and ensured an enjoyable stay. He had lots of interesting stories to tell about the wildlife in and around the campsite and is very knowledgeable on the trees and birds of the area.
